36 Ontario/Canada | An odd Pegasus looking for his Unicorn

My friend randomly told me I reminded him more of a Pegasus rather than a unicorn so here I am embracing my majestic winged‑horse era.

Hey! I’m Jon (36M), based in Ontario and hoping to meet someone close enough for real‑life adventures, cozy evenings, and whatever comes next.

**About me:**

* I teach Computer Science at a local college and genuinely love what I do.
* In a similar vein, I doubled down and recently started a PhD in Computer Science Education part-time.
* Around 180 lbs, average build, and working on becoming a more active version of myself after years of hybrid teaching.
* I love hugs and physical affection, but I’m a little hesitant to initiate — very much a gentle bear cautiously approaching so I don’t accidentally spook anyone.
* I can be socially awkward at first, especially in new situations, but once I feel safe—teaching, laughing with friends, etc—I become confident, animated, and fully myself. Going by the Pegasus analogy, it's when my wings come out.

**Interests:**

* Tabletop games, manOntario, and video games — especially Adventure, RPGs, and roguelites that continuously humble me.
* D&D and Pathfinder (restarted playing with friends and rediscovered my love of Chaotic Good decisions).
* Wandering through forests, hiking trails, and biking around like I’m scouting for side quests.
* Two cats who believe they are the main characters in my life story (one of them is not-so-secretly evil though).
* Renovating my house, collecting tools like they’re rare loot drops, and tackling DIY projects with abandon and only *occasional* swearing.

**What I'm looking for:**

* Someone who enjoys a bit of whimsy, laughs easily, and doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty — whether that’s in the garden, on a projeOntario, or during an adventure.
* Curiosity about learning French is a lovely bonus (it’s my first language).
* Someday, I’d love to have kids.
