37 Canada LF a real connection

I’m 37 and live in a small town in northern Ontario. I’m introverted, sarcastic, kind of a quiet shy guy until I’m comfortable, then I’m probably being a goof or making dry jokes just to get you to laugh. I like keeping things light, but I’ve got depth too when it matters. Definitely more of a listener at first, but once there’s a connection, I’ll talk your ear off about random stuff like science, life, or some dumb theory I’ve got about the universe.

I’ve dealt with chronic pain and arthritis for a long time, so I live life a little slower. Can’t really do the travel the world, hiking for hours kind of stuff, but I can show up emotionally, be consistent, and actually care about getting to know you for real. I’m not big on surface-level anything.

I’ve struggled with weight for most of my life. A few years ago, I lost a lot of it and have been doing my best to live a bit healthier since. Would be nice to meet someone who’s also trying, not perfeOntario, not obsessed with fitness, just trying to take care of themselves in whatever way works.

I’m into comedy (especially the dark, dry kind), video games (WoW, Baldur’s Gate 3, Stardew Valley), good shows,(Stargate SG-1 anyone) music (rock, metal, and a bit of everything), and the kind of deep, rambling conversations that go off the rails in the best way. Also, I’ll never say no to a dumb meme or a solid cat video.

I’m looking for someone kind, open minded, emotionally grounded, and...curious, the kind of person who values connection, trust, and maybe enjoys giving up a little control when the chemistry is right. You don’t have to know what you want yet, just be open to something genuine, layered, and maybe a little intense in the right moments. If any of that stirs something in you, say hi.
