49 Gen X this is for you

Gen X (and I guess elder millennials) have we not lived in interesting times?

Think about what we experienced in our lives:

\* music scene went epic (Snoop, Nirvana, etc)

\* the premiere of Friends (they WERE on a break)

\* The white Bronco (that was a wasted 4 hours)

\* No phones-> Nokia -> flip phones (Snake, IYKYK)

\* 10 digit texting (wouldn’t the current gen lose their minds trying to do that)

\* Music on MTV (Unplugged greatest series of all time, change my mind)

\* Iris Goo Goo Dolls on the radio (not a meme reminding us we are older than we feel)

\* Teacher wheeling TV to class to watch Challenger launch. Then going back to lessons with no discussion of the tragedy.

Now that we have taken a stroll down amnesia lane (quoting Robin Williams, RIP) let’s talk about us. I am a married dad, white collar professional firmly in touch with his country boy roots. Many hobbies, some on hold as raising a 5 year old has diverted me from some. Dadbod in the middle of a fitness / wellness journey, blond headed, blue eyes. “Raised right” -you will find me a gentleman when appropriate and in an intimate moment well, that’s a different story.

You: ideally a professional, educated, intelligent wife and mother. Age is flexible as long as you check the boxes of Gen X / Elder millennial. You can communicate and want something deeper than small talk and shallow. A mix of PG and R rated chat and a bond that forms over time and getting to know each other deeply well. Conversations can be everything from coworkers who annoy us (can you believe Marybeth left a half a cup of coffee in the pot with the warmer on?) to the metaphysical (do we live inside of a black hole) to anything. Just please be able to hold your own in a conversation. Conventionally attractive.
