At this point, I'd really just like to meet a girl who's as excited to get to know me as I am to get to know her.

I'm not really sure why, but it seems like 90% of the girls I meet on this (and similar) sub(s) have no desire to actually get to know me as a person, only to answer questions about themselves like I'm hosting a late night talk show. And look, I honestly love to ask questions, because I love to hear your answers, I really do want to know everything about you and what makes you who you are. That's one of the best parts of any relationship. And the longer and more elaborate the answer, the better. I -want- to hear you talk about yourself, and would expect you to do just that in response. But if that interest is completely on my end, and you have no follow-up questions, or even a "how about you?", what exactly am I supposed to take away from that? It's not even that I want to talk about myself, I just want to know that someone is genuinely interested in me as an individual, and not just waiting for someone to shower them with attention (which I will likely do anyway). I mean, if you don't know anything about me, how could you possibly know if I'm right for you?

So basically, I'm just hoping to meet a nice girl who wants to form a legitimate bond. Someone who takes this seriously, and is looking for an honest-to-God partner, not just a way to pass time. Someone who wants another person, not just a text bot. Someone who would like to make a real and meaningful connection and have actual conversations instead of just filling out a questionnaire. Someone who might be open to something long-term, exclusive, and IRL (if things happen to progress to that point), not just an online/casual fling. I'm trying to find love, not just something to do for the next few hours. I promise I'm a lot more fun than the frustrated tone of this post!
