Bomb Me for 3 Months and Then Ghost, I’m Filing an Emotional Missing Persons Report 🤣

I’m the classic got married young and had kids. I have an older husband who quite literally thinks the world revolves around him. I’m not looking to changed my relationship status or yours but I love building a connection with someone and having fun.

BUTTT Can we talk about the advanced level of audacity it takes to love-bomb someone, talk every day for weeks or months, trade secrets, trauma, inside jokes, voice notes, and “I’ve never told anyone this before”… and then just disappear like you were abducted by aliens? Is there a new rule I missed where online affairs must end with a dramatic vanishing act?

I get it online affairs are messy. Feelings change. Chemistry fades. Real life gets loud… it’s all valid.

But if you:

• Talk every day

• Spend hours messaging

• Open up

• het me to open up

• Lower guards together

• Build emotional intimacy

…you shouldnt get to vanish without a word

Ghosting after one conversation? Fine.

Ghosting after a few days? Meh.

Ghosting after months? That’s not “I lost interest,” that’s an emotional drive-by.

And then we’re left doing the mental gymnastics:

What did I say?

What did I do?

Was I too much? Not enough?

The dreaded I trusted them with videos and photos

Did I miss a sign?

Did my personality suddenly expire?

Was it all a lie?

Did he ever care?

Are they dead? (I hope not, but also just answer me?)

Why is it so hard to just say you’re done? I promise I will not hunt you down, curse your lineage, or send a 12-page manifesto. I’ll simply sigh, accept my fate, wish you the best and move on to the next emotionally unavailable stranger on the internet like a normal person.

If you’ve ever ghosted someone after investing real time and emotional energy, please be a man and send them a message. And in the future, for next time it’s as easy as “Hey, sorry this isn’t working for me anymore.”

Because disappearing doesn’t make you mysterious it just makes you a dick. Closure is needed.
