I have no idea what I’m doing

I started scrolling a few of these subs 2 weeks ago and I have to say, the excitement has worn off. I tend to overthink things so this may end up sounding like word salad, but here goes.

I’m 39, married, and I have 1 kid under 10. I’ve been doing the stay-at-home-dad routine for 2 years or so at this point and the isolation is really starting to kick in. My home life/relationship is fine but my S/O works a lot and doesn’t have time for me until after dinner or later. I’m looking for someone to talk to throughout the day to feel less lonely and invisible. Ideally if things are comfortable, our conversations can veer off into flirty territory when the mood strikes us. I’ll be most active between 7am and 6pm EST. This doesn’t mean that I’ll disappear during off hours. It just means I’m busy doing dinner and homework and bedtime and etc etc etc. I’m hoping we click so well that I’ll be constantly distracted by you.

Some things about me:

* I’m a bit of a nerd. I read a lot and it’s primarily Sci-fi and fantasy.
* Before SAHD, I was a software developer. And before that I was a photographer.
* I listen to music A LOT during the day. It’s one of the only ways I can keep this ADHD brain on task. I like a pretty wide range; alt and classic rock, electroniOntario, 80s anything, video game lofi. I’m listening to a lot of Glass Animals and Fleetwood Mac this week.
* My wardrobe probably contains too many flannels.
* Part of my SAHD schedule is renovating the house. I’m currently building a front porch from scratch.
* I’m pretty damn liberal so someone similar is a bit of a must.
* I am a confusing mix of sarcastic, sincere, irreverent, idealistic, naive, and dirty with a dark sense of humor that’s peppered with dad jokes. I’m really hoping I can find someone that vibes with that.
* I’m 6’3” and broad across the shoulders. Dark short hair, blue eyes, facial hair. Bit of a dad bod but I flirt with the gym and like to hike.

* You really want to talk my ear off. I want to do that too.
* Fellow nerd would be great.
* Thick skin (see above about sarcasm)
