Last Chance at Love (Fly Me to the Moon)

I know this post might be a bit of a downer so sorry in advance but I absolutely do feel the need to be totally realistic about my feelings. I have never had a healthy relationship and I'm starting to believe I never will. I have been through the absolute ringer and feel like at this point the world owes me some salvation. Alas, I find myself washing up on the dregs of the dating spectrum with only one last solitary hope.

I would like to find the one; a quirky guy who's perhaps a bit nerdy but is invested in the same things and communities I am. If we were still in the 2000s I'd probably be called a tomboy but I'm not sure if that still applies. I can be a bit scrappy despite being really small and I tend to like more masculine hobbies like games, anime, and comic books. My favorites tend to be anything that I feel has really intimate character writing that feels as though you're witnessing real interactions. For anime that would be things like Lain, Evangelion, or Perfect Blue but when it comes to games I really enjoy less esoteric things like Final Fantasy, Shin Megami Tensei, Yakuza, and a whole bevy of metroidvanias.

In the real world I tend to try to keep a low profile. I'm a music teacher in Ontario and a fairly alright one I'd like to think. My students tend to like me and I've managed to curate a comfortable space for all the outsiders. At home I indulge more in my hobbies with burgeoning interests in cos play as I finally become more invested in the community aspect of stuff. I like to be crafty so I've been getting better at sewing and all sorts of tailor tricks and tips.

Overall, what I'm looking for is someone who is on the same wavelength as me with the same or similar interests as well as a lot of empathy and enthusiasm for romance.
