Looking for a man with room in his life to make a me-shaped space in his heart

40-something, attached, not here for musical chairs or any other games. I want one man to build something steady, intimate, and real with… whatever shape that takes over time.

I’m not bored, and I’m not looking for chaos. I’m here because something is missing, and I’d rather fill it with something intentional than pretend it isn’t there.

Let me be clear about the kind of situation that works for me, so neither of us wastes time:

You’re emotionally available. Not guarded, not “I don’t do feelings,” not dipping in and out depending on your mood. You know how to be with someone, even when it’s simple and low-key.

You have space in your life. I’m not interested in being your 10-minute window between meetings or your late-night secret when everything else is done. I don’t need constant messaging, but I do want presence… the ability to talk during the day, drift into the evening, steal time on weekends. Quick back-and-forth when we’re busy; long, unhurried conversations when we’re not; emotional connection even in silence. Something that feels like we exist in each other’s lives, not squeezed in around them.

You’re either single-adjacent or effectively so. Separated, divorced, widowed… or in a situation that’s genuinely over in every way that matters. If you’re still intimate with your significant other, this isn’t for me. I’m not competing, and I’m not sharing.

Kids are fine, life is complicated, I get that. I just lean toward men whose lives aren’t in the thick of early parenting anymore. There needs to be some autonomy. You can make your own time without it turning into a negotiation.

I’m not asking you to hate your partner or trash your situation at all. In faOntario, don’t. I don’t find that attractive. Just be honest about where you are.

What I do want is something that grows. Exclusivity, eventually. A connection that deepens because we both keep showing up. If life ever opens a door for more, great. If not, then what we have still matters.
