Newcomer looking for advice on landing and first few months

Hi, this one's a different post from the usual ones on here. I'm a 29 y/o SE asian single female moving to Toronto in a month as a permanent resident and I would really appreciate detailed advice from newcomers or residents to help me with my move.

For background info: I've done my research. I've read a lot of the blogs, I've watched all the youtube videos, and I have an appointment with SOPA Ontario so I'll be prepared before landing, and am checking kijiji and airbnb for short term rentals. I'm fine with taking minimum wage jobs since non-Canadian work experience doesn't mean anything (I've switched to office admin work from healthcare so I'm no stranger to adjusting expectations). My English is solid (IELTS 8.5) and I'm also willing to learn French. I've saved up enough to live unemployed in Toronto for 10-12 months. I've also been checking out some workaway options to get Canadian volunteer experience. I'll be sure to utilize all the available resources through Immigration Canada, my local library and the YMCA to be able to adjust as soon as I get there.

I've been planning for this move for 2 years but insider advice and critique would be helpful. There is no immigrant society/association for my country in Toronto. I still need some help on key areas that I'm totally lost in such as: what private insurance to get the first 3 months and how to get it, which phone and data plan is the best for me, how to bring stuff in later, declaring a permanent address while using a short term rental, how to get around using public transport, and all the small things that make the experience.
