I'm a 59-year old professor (in the humanities, if that matters at all). With my kids finally out of the house and my career starting to wind down, I'm finding myself taking stock of my life, and reflecting on what's missing. To that end, I'm looking for a thoughtful connection with someone who shares my interests, experiences, and expectations.

No, I don't have a perfectly-formed vision of what that would look like, I prefer to leave it open-ended, as I know a lot will depend on where our chemistry takes us (or doesn't). Suffice it to say that I'm open to myriad possibilities. 

I won't bore you with a long, self-aggrandizing sales pitch because I think we both know those can be incredibly fake and empty. (You know the drill: exaggerate the good things, leave out the bad stuff.) The real test is being able to carry a conversation over the long haul, and I think I can pull that off with the best of them.
