Tech, Travel, and Traditional Chinese. Let's practice Mandarin together?

Hi, I am Willy. I'm a 31 year old male living in Toronto, Ontario. I work as a technical director for a small startup, and am currently taking courses through the rest of 2026 in the TOCFL track for traditional Chinese. I got my degree from the University of Ontario.

The reason I am learning is that I am from a very poor area in Ontario, and was able to go to Chinese camp once. I wasn't really prepared to continue on from the things I learned there until adulthood. I really enjoyed the experience.

I have lots of other interests, like I'm currently redoing my wardrobe, and in my recent posts I've redone my hair as an example. I help service three scholarships for Engineering Students in my spare time. I'm the author of a small rust crate for something equivalent or similar to airtable, and I support and enjoy art of all kinds.

I am currently in a beginner course track in course "3", and my general ability to discuss time and intent with respect to time could use practice the most. Other things are generally pretty good.
