The problem was never women...

So, I’m a boy, and I’m 20 years old. Over time, I’ve noticed and observed many things, and honestly, it’s heartbreaking that most people — almost everyone — misunderstand what freedom for girls actually means.

I’ve noticed how uncomfortable many girls feel around men. And the worst part is that many men are aware of it, yet they respond with an attitude like, “ha toh?”

Girls are human beings, just like boys. We should respect every woman, whether she wears a saree, a bikini, a hijab, or shorts. Clothes never define a person’s character.

People often say, “Respect women because she is someone’s sister, someone’s mother, or someone’s wife.”

But why can’t we simply say

“Respect women because she is a human being”

And honestly, why do we even need a term because for respect women?

According to me, women are one of the most beautiful creations God has made. A person is born because of a woman, grows up with the care of a woman, marries a woman — and even after all that, many people still don’t know how to respect women. Instead, they judge them, laugh at them, and make them feel unsafe

We are living in the 21st century, yet many people still don’t see women as equal to men. Why?

If a girl wears something she likes, she gets judged

If a girl has many friends, she gets judged

If a girl travels alone, she gets judged

Why?

I’m a boy, and I know the way many boys look at girls and the kind of things they say about them without even knowing them personally. But why?

Did those girls ever judge you?

Did they ever harm you?

No, right?

Then why treat them that way?

Being a man, I believe that boys should be taught how to respect girls, because the biggest reason many girls feel scared and insecure is the behavior of men. Instead of controlling girls, we should learn to control our mindset and actions

Men are often the reason girls feel unsafe, and we need to fix that

Judging girls, using disrespectful slurs, and making fun of them has become so normalized that people don’t even realize how shameful it is anymore

So I have one request to every man reading this

Respect women

And we do not need any reason for this

And if you need a reason then you are not a man
