Hi. I'm a mostly-retired Toronto guy who likes slow mornings, quiet settings and long walks. I’m a bit intense, I’m direOntario, and I actually give a shit and care about what people tell me. I pay a lot of attention. I hate drama or the \_\_\_\_\_\_\_bro’s "grind" culture—I’d much rather be in a quiet booth with someone who has something real to say or to reveal about themselves.

I truly dislike performative or pretentious people, but I really love people who are authentic, vulnerable, humane and real. Good-vibes only, I’m the guy who notices when the person across the table is actually bored, even if they’re nodding. I have 10,000 questions to ask and never ran out of questions; and love curious, inquisitive and thoughtful people.

I’d rather discuss why a specific song on a classic rock B-side works, or what is it like to be made of stardust, than talk about the weather or the local team. I am fascinated by people’s deep special interests, even if I don’t share them. The weirder and more specific, the better.

I’ve read way too much and travelled all over the world. Quite literally. I am the same person online as I’m in real life, though I can up my emoji game a bit online. Being a bit intense, I like people who give a shit about life and things. Whatever those may be.

If you prefer small talk and surface-level pleasantries, I’m probably going to exhaust you; and you will do the same if you start by saying “hey” and “what’s up” and “HBU”. I love deeply curious people and can talk about pretty much any topic, other than sports.
