Weird Nerdy girl seeking her equally nerdy forever duo

📍 North York

I posted here almost a year ago and I am in a new place in my life both mentally, physically, and spiritually. My last endeavor on this forum didn't yield much, unfortunately for the internet I am a cockroach that doesn't quite die. I'm kidding, of course.

About me: My name is Kayla and I am located in the beautiful city of Toronto. I'm 27 and work full-time in technical support. As you can see from my post history, I am both real and have an adorable dog. I relocated from Northern Ontario this past year and have spent the past several months doing a lot of internal and external work on myself. I feel that I know myself more than I ever have.

As you can see from my title, I am nerdy and that includes things like video games, books, movies, shows, and music. I was on a WoW classic kick for several months until my raid team disbanded and I lost the motivation to keep going. I also loved Fortnite but no longer speak to the long-time friend that was my duo. Otherwise, I love open-world RPGs and Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is on my next list to play. I played my first playthrough of Baldur's Gate 3 and sunk about 150 hours into it. My favorite game of all time is the first Red Dead Redemption. This past year I've also played through Red Dead Redemption 2 for the second time, the Tomb Raider reboots (a favorite of mine), Cyberpunk 2077 (again), and the Witcher 3.

Books wise I love Lord of the Rings and finished my first readthrough of the books back in January, I even got a tattoo in March to celebrate the achievement! As for movies and shows, I love anything that is horror, gore, adventure, or comedy. I recently watched the 1973 "The Wickerman" for the first time and think that folk horror might be one of my favorite genres.

Despite my nerdiness, I work on a computer throughout most of my day so I like to take breaks to work on arts and crafts like drawing or diamond painting. I once did an entire 20" x 30" diamond painting of the Roman colosseum because I love history. Additionally, I've started to value and look after my health a lot more and enjoy strength training. Being in Toronto means having access to some of the most beautiful places in the United States, so when the weather is suitable I love to take my dog and head outdoors. Cooking is also a hobby of mine, although it is more for my own benefit than a deep passion. Museums or historical sites are a major yes from me.
