35 if it’s the peaches…

Things have changed a lot for me in the past year - the constant is that you’re still on my mind. Try as I might, there are reminders at every turn. A hoodie from a school in your hometown. A LOT of those around here. A TikTok of something in your current city. A song, a book. I got through security at an airport and right in front of me was a bookstore, and front and center was that book you were gifted that shares my name.

I thought it’d be easier by now. I guess it has in some ways. It’s not jarring anymore. It’s life. But I still think of you every day, multiple times a day. Maybe you were right that the edges would soften - but I don’t know that they’ll ever fade entirely.
