So, let’s turn the charm up a notch and give it a bit more life.

You ever have those stretches where life just feels… suspiciously smooth? Like everything’s clicking into place. Your jokes are landing, even the questionable ones. The petrol pump stops exactly at £90 like it’s been personally calibrated for you (still not over it being £80 once upon a time). You go weeks without that middle of the night leg cramp that makes you question every life choice you’ve ever made. It all feels very “yes, this is how it’s meant to be”.

And then, because life loves a plot twist, something shifts....

Hair starts thinning like it’s quietly clocking out early. The cramp returns with a vengeance, like it’s been training for a comeback. And suddenly that neat little jigsaw you had going on looks like someone’s tipped the box out and walked off. You’re left holding a corner piece wondering where it all went wrong.

Marriage, as it turns out, can be a bit like that too. Not bad, not broken, just… different. You catch yourself missing the little things that used to be constant. The butterflies. That stupid grin when their name popped up on your phone. The mild panic of trying to think of something witty to say and then immediately overthinking it. Now it’s more “have we got milk” and silently judging each other’s choice of TV. Comfortable, yes. Electric? Occasionally, if someone steals the duvet.

And look, I’m not saying I want to go back to being a nervous wreck waiting for a reply… but a little bit of that excitement wouldn’t go amiss, would it?

Anyway, before I start charging for emotional insight…

A bit about me. I’m from England, six foot tall, shaved head (not a bold style choice, more of a reluctant acceptance), beard, blue eyes, and a smile that does a decent job of convincing people I’ve got my life together. I’ve also been told my voice should come with a wet floor sign, which I’m choosing to take as a compliment, even if it raises more questions than it answers.

I’m easy to talk to, don’t take myself too seriously, and I can hold a conversation that goes beyond “you alright” and “yeah, you”. I’ll make you laugh, or at the very least make you question why you’re still talking to me, which is basically the same thing.
