Happiness Update

I see many posts from people here who are frustrated for various reasons, so I thought I’d share my (our) story.

Almost 17 months ago I posted here with only a small glimmer of hope that I would actually meet someone special. Little did I know, I was about to meet someone who would change my life for the better in so many ways. He responded to my quite lengthy and very specific post. His message was fun and sincere and we hit it off immediately. We soon had that crazy NRE going and we couldn’t get enough of each other. We fell hard and fast for each other. Once we made it through that critical 10-14 day window where white hot connections tend to flame out, I knew this could be the real deal.

Neither of us were initially looking to meet up in person especially since we lived on opposite sides of the country, but over the course of the next few months we decided we needed to know if the connection we had online would translate in person. So we met face to face for the first time almost a year ago to the day. It was even more amazing than we imagined it would be. Our feelings grew even deeper. We have now met up 4 times and had some wonderful adventures.

He is my best friend, my person. No one has ever loved me and cared for me the way he does and I still can’t believe I met the perfect man for me right here on OA, the home of flaky dudes. 😉

So, if you’re feeling discouraged, I just want you to know that it is possible to find what you are looking for here. Don’t give up. ❤️
