Introverted, nerdy girl looking for friend or relationship

I really mean it about being introverted. I feel most comfortable by myself or around my significant other. I have a difficult time rousing the motivation to talk to other people and I’m mostly okay with being alone but this does make it difficult to find friends or a relationship. I also greatly detest small talk and prefer to get to know someone by asking more profound, philosophical questions.

I’ve always been a compulsive reader but my current obsession is Game of Thrones! I’m reading Fire & Blood in preparation for House of the Dragon. A thorough understanding of Game of Thrones would be amazing so we can debate the best characters. However, my favorite books are classic local novels such as Crime and Punishment or Anna Karenina.

For work I’m a scientific journalist with a focus on astrophysics and emerging technology (think solid state batteries, fusion energy, superconductors, quantum computing, etc.). I can talk about astronomy forever. 🪐🔭👽

That being said, I’m not a religious person and do not believe faith and fact can be reconciled. Religion and science are like quantum mechanics and relativity—the two are such vastly different ways of understanding the world and we don’t have a way of bridging that gap. Except with QM and relativity there’s at least a chance.

I’d prefer someone my age, anyone from 20-35 would be lovely. I am a clingy girl! You have to be okay with a little obsession and weirdness. My fascinations include everything from the effects of radiation on the human body to pirates and the genetic engineering of dragons. I would prefer an introvert like myself.

Long distance relationships are okay as long as you’d be willing to move to the US someday to be near one another.
