30 Thoughts About Devil Wears Prada 2

Hey everyone, I figured I would share some of my thoughts about DWP 2 on here since I just watched it and I want other people’s opinions too. First off, it was interesting how the movie was tonally different than the first one. DWP 2 focuses on the existential threat to journalism brought upon by billionaires, artificial intelligence, and unregulated corporate buyouts.

I honestly wasn’t expecting such a deep theme in a movie like this. As always, Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep were stunning. No surprise there. Although Streep’s performance was much more mild than the first movie. It showed real character development.

Yes, she was still sharp and cutting at times, but she expressed sincere gratitude to almost everyone in the movie at different points. I must say, Stanley Tucci is the man. He delivers a classic charming performance. And he gives the most emotional line of the film, “Forever my girl.” 😭😭 All in all, Devil Wears Prada 2 is a solid, refreshing, movie that surprised me in a world full of uninspired sequels.
