Just someone in need of a good friend, I guess

**ETA : I just want this at the top of my post because I want to be upfront. Since most men here are looking for a gym-fit body on a woman, I want to make it clear that I'm not gym-fit. I'm active, healthy, take pride in taking care of myself, not obese or overtly overweight, and I like to walk and hike. I could stand to lose 5 pounds, but if that is a deal breaker for you, then we don't have to waste each other's time here, as time is the most precious thing we all possess. I'm making it easy for all of us :)**

I'm in a very long term marriage that has evolved itself into a roommates type of situation with my SO. That leaves me wanting and desiring a genuine connection with someone which blossoms into a beautiful friendship, and provides each other with a safe space that we can call our own. I got super lucky once before and I hope the universe conspires again to make it happen.

Here are some things about me. I consider myself a life-long learner, I value humility and authenticity in fellow humans, I'm more philosophical with my approach to life and I always like to take away lessons and wisdom from experiences, rather than regrets. I prefer deep conversations over superficial ones. At my age, I don't like playing mind-games with anyone because life is already too short to be wasting anyone's time, What you get from me is someone who doesn't consider this as a trivial pursuit, and has the time and energy to put in the effort to develop something meaningful and long term.

YOU are someone who considers yourself genuinely kind, thoughtful and curious, while not being afraid to be authentic and truthful with yourself. You have the wisdom and life experiences that allow you to be open minded to new and exciting possibilities. You are into philosophy, metaphysics as well as science. I also would prefer someone older and wiser; preferably over the age of 50.
