realistic expectations, selective enthusiasm

Hi. I’m 37, female, functional. I exercise, I floss, I return shopping carts. My life is, broadly speaking, under control.

Looking for a man somewhere around 40-48. Preferably EU/ UK based - so every conversation doesn’t take three business days. Ideally someone who already has a whole life going on: partner, kids, obligations, mild exhaustion. I’m not trying to become anyone’s ‘chapter two’. 

Height? Don’t care. I appreciate a man who’s still making an effort. You don’t have to look like James Bond, just don’t look like you’ve given up. Also, and I say this respectfully, I’m not really into dad bods or bald men - I guess everybody has their own preferences 🤷🏻‍♀️
Personality-wise: kind, emotionally literate, slightly nerdy. Curious about things. A little ridiculous is good.

I’m not looking for intense declarations, disappearing acts, or a relationship that operates like a faulty smoke alarm - constantly going off for no reason. I’m after something steady. A connection, friendship with a little spark to it. Mostly online, maybe meeting a few times a year if it naturally goes that way?

Also, because apparently this needs clarifying - **I’m not looking for younger men**. Last time I posted this, a surprising number of men in their twenties / early thirties seemed to think they’d be the exception. I’m sure you’re all probably delightful - just not my target market.

Edit: the first message I received was ‘Hi 19M’ which does raise some fascinating questions about how people are processing written information these days.
